Playing Suzie Homemaker

This summer I was blessed with a wonderful gift from Grandma Thompson. A BEAUTIFUL SEWING MACHINE!!

Now, growing up being "one of the guys" I have never been the "suzie homemaker" type but I thought I would put some use to this thing. So, with my mother's help and some great ideas I decided to start off making the kids something. That way if they suck, the kids can't tell.......and I will make them wear it anyways. (the joys of being a parent) I spent a couple weeks and went for broke. I ended up making Lilly a pair of jammies and a matching bathrobe. Then I made her baby matching jammies too! I am on a roll, let me tell you. This "suzie homemaker" stuff comes naturally to me. I am now making Rafe some bag jammies! Hopefully, with some practice and guidance one day I can make quilts somewhat like my my Auntie Susie! (big maybe on that one, she pretty much rocks the quilting thing) So, in this "oh-so wonderful" nesting period.....THANK YOU GRANDMA THOMPSON for giving me a hobby!

Belly Update

I am now 32 weeks along and growing every moment! I now see the doctor every two weeks and things are going quite smoothly.....from what they tell me. These next couple months will be spent getting the small things together and growing uncontrollably, I am sure. Can't wait until he gets here......we are ALL getting VERY VERY EXCITED!!!!!

DANCING QUEEN

Lilly is a dancing queen at it's best! She climbed up on the coffee table and gave everyone a musical show! PRICELESS!

FALL FUN

The weather was so nice this weekend that we got all dressed up, went to the canyon and took some gorgeous pictures with the changing leaves. I have put a few on the side bar of our blog and will add a few here as well. I will get the best ones and copy them for Christmas!

Baby Shower

It came....and it went, like a flash! October 17th we had our co-ed baby shower at my parents house and it turned out to be such a blast. To start off with, my sister made some gorgeous invitations. Then my mom and my sister put their heads together to plan some pretty yummy grub and silly baby games. The cake turned out so cute, the bakery put little race cars on it that matched his bedding. Then we had checker flags all over and checker decorations to top it all off. It was a cute baby race day! We ended up getting such great gifts, now I can start putting things together, YEAH! Unfortunately, not everyone was able to make it but there was a great turn out. So many friends and family joined together to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of our handsome baby boy! Now only three more months until he arrives, THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!!!!
